Acoustex recently hosted a virtual factory tour for Exporters Eastern Cape, where the company introduced the Acoustex Group of companies and took members on a virtual tour of their plant. Acoustex Group is a Port Elizabeth-based manufacturer and supplier to the Automotive Assembly industry, and has been a supplier of insulation and sound deadening components to the automotive assembly industry for more than 40 years.
Acoustex supplies products directly to local markets in South Africa and indirectly to international markets in countries such as England, Spain, Japan, Germany, China, Australia, America and North and Central Africa. The company employs 140 team members at their factory in Port Elizabeth.
in terms of expansion, the Group has grown to include VPS and BluTech. VPS supplies vehicle protection covers and a variety of related products. BluTech supplies laminates to the medical industry for the manufacture of drapes and gowns for surgeons.
Whilst many companies are downscaling in response to Covid-19, Acoustex is in fact growing its team and business in anticipation of future growth.
