DynaFoam has moved to new premises in Coega, Port Elizabeth, a 4500m2 manufacturing plant. The main driver behind Dynafoam’s move, explained DynaFoam CEO Steve Riley, was the company’s excessive growth and to grow exports together with the incentives from being situated in the IDZ.
“Servicing the OE industry in SA and the potential export market requires companies to meet the more formal standards which, to a greater extend, are achieved in the IDZ by a neat, quality-conscious and efficient working environment,” he said.
Dynafoam Converters was commissioned in 2011. The company supplies over 4-million pressed foam, felt and rubber components a month to the SA Automotive Industry, and importing and exporting to and from the USA, Asia and the EU.
Dynafoam specialises in NVH applications, concentrating on low VOCs with particular reference to HVAC / Harness / Headliner / Door panels / A, B, C Pillars / Sound Deadening Panels and a multitude of other applications supplying quality solutions to both drivers and OEMs.
The range of specialised products include, amongst others, PU foam/rubber seals / PE foam / felts / laminates/transfer adhesives/silicon / high-end PE foams for the battery industry and others.
“Our close association and exclusive arrangements with the foremost suppliers of raw materials into the EU, Asia and the US further support our reputation of being the No.1 supplier of pressed foam components to the South African automotive industry and leader in quality and technology in our field. The OEM’s we supply through the T1 and T2 chain are BMW / VWSA / MBSA / Ford / Toyota / Nissan / Renault and Isuzu. Validation is the niche that our flexibility as a company has allowed us to grow quite rapidly,” Mr Riley concluded.
