Greg Thompson: Technical Manager, Isringhausen of South Africa

Greg has accumulated significant experience in the seating industry, where he has worked since 2006. Thompson started his career as a Project Team Leader at Proseat in Ireland in January 2006. He later joined Isringhausen of South Africa in September 2006 where he worked as a Research and Development Engineer for over six years, and then moved into the Technical Manager role at the beginning of 2013.
Prior to joining the automotive industry, Greg graduated in 2005 with a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He has since graduated with a B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering and is currently completing his MBA at Nelson Mandela University.
Greg’s advice to emerging suppliers in the automotive sector, “Partner up with a mentor company to help you through the process of certification”.
