NAACAM’s flagship skills development initiative, High Gear, is channelling the needs of automotive component manufacturers into enhanced training in public TVET colleges and driving the automotive component manufacturing industry skills pipeline. High Gear is about developing a curriculum that ensures TVET college courses remain aligned to the ever-changing requirements of the automotive component manufacturing sector.

NAACAM and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) are the lead national partners of High Gear and is managed by the International Youth Foundation (IYF). The UK Government’s Skills for Prosperity programme, USAID) and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation are funding High Gear project implementation.
