JULIANNE KASPER: Finishing & Die-Cutting Supervisor at CGI
#AutomotiveAllies: Julianne Kasper, nominated by Shaun Rosenstein, is a Finishing & Die-Cutting Supervisor at CGI. Since Julianne started working at Omnigraphics, now CGI, in 1990, she found the manufacturing industry very interesting and started to pay attention to the mechanics of the company. Julianne has successfully made herself an asset to the company and loves the challenges she deals with on a daily, weekly, and yearly basis. Julianne is also a married woman with two dependents.
Being the Supervisor of the Finishing and Die-Cutting does not mean her responsibilities stop there. Julianne tends to make all the processes on the Shopfloor her business, as she sees her department as a stakeholder in the company, which is also a supplier to the next departments. Quality and On-Time delivery are imperative to everyone at CGI, helping to create a happy customer and strong relationships.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, Julianne thanks the Lord for the minimal interruptions to their business, and for each and every staff member, who has been giving their best. Julianne assists in the manufacturing of PPE. Being able to make a difference in the world, especially during a global pandemic, and seeing people standing together in the fight against Covid-19 has been a humbling experience for Julianne.
Reflecting on working at CGI, Julianne says, “Working at CGI makes you aware of all the abilities inside you, and you can embrace every challenge and make it a true reflection of yourself. No challenge is too big or too small, as at the centre of CGI’s processes is brainstorming, teamwork, and time management. At CGI we can accomplish anything a customer wants. And the great thing about it is that every staff member in the department is involved and gives their full support. To make a change in the world we live in today, it is crucial that all citizens are appreciated.
Julianne’s thoughts on #ThingsIWishIKnew and #TheFutureIsFemale
#ThingsIWishIKnew: One thing I wished I knew was how to get another day in between the days of the week. This would be great, especially when you need extra time during the normal week.
#TheFutureisFemale: The Future is absolutely female, as when a man wants something to be done right the first time, he sends a woman, but when a woman wants something done right the first time, she does it herself.
