MPUMI MOLEWA: Head of Foreign Trade and Export Control – Region: Africa at Robert Bosch

Mpumi graduated from Tshwane University of Technology with a B-Tech Logistics degree. Mpumi has since invested 13 years of her career working in the automotive sector. She joined Bosch in Brits as a graduate trainee with the responsibilities of logistics and Motor Industry Development program co-ordination. During her time at the Bosch Brits manufacturing facility, she was appointed as the specialist for the Automotive Production and Development Programme.
In April 2016, Mpumi was appointed as the Foreign Trade Customs & Export Control Officer for the Southern and Eastern African region. In January 2020, Mpumi took on the dynamic and ever-changing environment of Foreign Trade and Export Control governance for the African continent.
In her private capacity, she is married with two children.
Mpumi’s thoughts on being a female within the automotive industry, “As a female in a male-dominated industry, it is important to work hard, even when you think no one is noticing your efforts. Do not adapt your personality to be male in the way you do things. My advice to young women is to believe in your capabilities and only dedication and drive can assist you to achieve your goals.
