NAACAM partnered with DG Capital in hosting the 2022 Johannesburg and Gqeberha Annual Golf Days. The Centre for the Advancement of Science and Mathematics Education (CASME) was the nominated charity, which aims to improve mathematics and science learning outcomes in under-resourced and rural schools in South Africa through various interventions. NAACAM and key stakeholders joined the Annual Golf Days and demonstrated their skills while rallying together for a good cause.
Brenden Adriaanzen, a Director at DG Capital noted, “We take pride in hosting the NAACAM Annual Golf Days as this is a great platform for companies and people to connect in a relaxed environment, away from the daily stresses of the automotive industry. The idea was birthed almost three years ago, and, through challenging times, we have managed to create a well-supported event that’s created many laughs on the day and possibly even some tears from the “hackers” on the field.
The interaction with industry participants at these events has led to incredible exposure for CASME, the beneficiary of all proceeds of the Golf Days. The CASME team is doing incredible work for the next generation, and we are truly thankful that, through this initiative, we can give back to employees of the future.”
NAACAM and DG Capital Congratulated the winning Johannesburg and Gqeberha teams. The winning team in Johannesburg was Auto X, of Mark Jones, Wynand Vivier, Gerhard Louw and Josh Hutchinson. The DG Capital team was the winning team in Gqeberha comprising Nico Smit, Ross Currie, Rudi van den Berg and Tyrone Warwick. NAACAM thanks all members for attending and contributing to the two successful golf days and for raising funds for CASME.
