NAACAM Trade Advisor, Dr Chipfuwa Kapuya is a trade economist with a decade of experience in trade policy and advocacy. He is currently Trade Advisor to NAACAM.
Dr Kapuya previously served as Trade Policy advisor for Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) and also worked as a Trade Specialist at the Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub and Genesis Analytics. He was also Head of International Trade and Investment Intelligence at the Agricultural Business Chamber, having also previously worked for the Trade and Industry Policy Strategies (TIPS) early on in his career. He served as the Deputy Chair of the Trade Policy Committee within Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) and was a member of the Trade Policy Sub-Committee. In his previous roles, he was involved in NEDLAC workstreams, where he represents Business, both in various Task Teams and within the Technical Liaison Committee (TESELICO).
