Name: Ziyanda Manqele
Studying: BEngTech Electronic Engineering
The diverse set of opportunities following the completion of the degree was an instrumental factor in Ziyanda choosing to study Electronic Engineering. The fact that the use of electronic engineers spans across a multitude of industries means that Ziyanda is not limited in her career decisions. Considering dream jobs, Ziyanda lists working as an electronic engineer in the automotive or telecommunications industry and doing research and design in the medical field.
Ziyanda is an advocate for self-belief, advising that when pursuing a technical qualification, you need to be your own biggest cheerleader. Whilst at times you may feel out of your depth, Ziyanda believes that as cliché as it may sound, it all comes down to hard work and determination.
