Benefits of the Automotive Supply Chain Competitiveness Initiative (ASCCI)

The Automotive Supply Chain Competitiveness Initiative (ASCCI) is a multi-stakeholder initiative tasked with upgrading the production capabilities of automotive component suppliers, and thereby supporting suppliers to unlock new localisation opportunities. NAACAM has been appointed as an interim facilitator of ASCCI.

In support of ASCCI’s Localisation Programme, NAACAM will be constituting a number of Localisation Working Groups (LWGs) to identify and capacitate Black-owned suppliers to support localisation opportunities with Tier 1 and OEM customers. The development of the LWGs is aimed to align with the objectives of the South African Automotive Masterplan (SAAM) 2035 to increase local content through increasing local supplier capabilities to match the localisation opportunities. If you are an OEM or Tier 1 supplier and have an interest in developing a Black-owned supplier please make use of the contact details below to obtain a list of Black-owned suppliers with capabilities in strategic engineering processes.
