NAACAM was recently awarded a discretionary grant from merSETA. Part of this grant supports the Road to Re-skilling programme where 300 previously retrenched workers from the automotive components sector are capacitated in key skills to support their re-entry into employment in the sector.
The paid programme is an opportunity for previously retrenched automotive component employees to participate in a re-skilling programme to develop critical skills, which will support their re-entry into employment. The programme supports in-classroom training and includes two learning options (NQF2 and NQF4).
NAACAM is committed to supporting the development of a pipeline of critical skills for the sector and is grateful for the generous support from the merSETA. The programme is implemented in collaboration with NAACAM Associate members Siyaya Skills Institute and Siyanqoba. NAACAM Commercial Director Shivani Singh, welcomed the first cohort of trainees in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
