#ASCCI The Automotive Supply Chain Competitiveness Initiative (ASCCI) has commenced its new financial year and is looking to identify beneficiaries for its technical supplier upgrading interventions.
The World Class Manufacturing (WCM) interventions support Tier 1, 2 and 3 automotive component manufacturers to improve their production and quality performance. The WCM projects may be utilised to support interventions which include, but are not limited to: Production optimisation; quality improvement; production performance management; visual management; IATF/VDA readiness; and digitisation of production processes and reporting. Beneficiaries may also access this support to set-up new production lines.
The Black Supplier Development Programme (BSDP) is designed to support emerging, Black-owned component manufacturers to develop the necessary technical and business development competencies to position themselves as Tier 2 and 3 suppliers.
The projects are funded on a cost-sharing basis, where both ASCCI and the benefitting company make financial contributions. For more information on the programme and participation requirements.
