Nozipho Ngcobo, NAACAM’s Strategic Projects Officer, recently visited NAACAM member, Wekaba Engineering, to launch their ASCCI World Class Manufacturing project.
Wekaba has recently secured a new contract with an OEM customer, and will be investing in upgrading their automotive lines to comply with IATF 16949 quality requirements. The Wekeba project team, led by Neil Sewnarain, is deeply committed to improving their adoption of lean production methodologies and will prioritise the capacity building and training of their automotive team, to ensure the company drives a culture of continuous improvement.
