#NAACAMProud: NAACAM congratulates Metair Investments Limited on the launch of its new Aftermarket Parts and Retail Division, a significant and strategic expansion that strengthens its position in the automotive value chain.
According to Paul O’Flaherty, Metair CEO, the new focused division will drive operational excellence while ensuring that each brand maintains its distinct value proposition and continues to serve customers effectively. The portfolio brings together five verticals: AutoZone, MOVE, ATE, First Battery and QSV.
First Battery’s manufacturing operations will be established as its own operating unit within Metair’s second division: Automotive Component Manufacturing, which will include Hesto Harnesses, Automould, Lumotech (Pty) Ltd, Unitrade, Supreme Spring and Smiths Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd.
Metair’s strategic diversification into aftermarket parts and retail supports supplier development, enhances resilience against market cycles, and strengthens linkages between both local and regional markets, offering more opportunities for localisation across manufacturing, distribution and retail segments.
