Congratulations to NAACAM members and all other recipients recognised at the 2026 Toyota South Africa Annual Supplier Awards that were held last week. These awards highlight the exceptional excellence, capability, and resilience that define South Africa’s automotive component manufacturing sector.
A special mention to Nick Beaumont and Malcolm Anderson, the founders of Ramsay Engineering, who were honoured with the President’s Award by Andrew Kirby, President and Managing Director of TSAM. This recognition reflects their exceptional service, dedication, and leadership in advancing the goals of Ramsay Engineering and strengthening South Africa’s automotive component industry. Ramsay is a locally owned third generation business based in Kwa-Zulu Natal that has been a tier 1 supplier for almost 50 years. Ramsay offers a wide variety of manufacturing technologies and processes including metal stamping, welding, forging, tube-bending and plastic injection moulding. NAACAM commends Toyota South Africa for its ongoing commitment to localisation and its strong, collaborative engagement with the supplier base. This partnership continues to play a vital role in driving growth and enhancing the competitiveness of the automotive sector.
