#WeAreNAACAM: Today, NAACAM hosted the KwaZulu Natal Regional Meeting (Q1 2026) bringing together members from across the KZN automotive component manufacturing sector.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide members with an update on the current automotive landscape and NAACAM’s activities, and create a platform for meaningful engagement on sector-wide and KZN specific matters requiring NAACAM’s support.
The session opened with meeting objectives from Nomqhele J.D Dube, NAACAM Analyst, followed by welcoming remarks from Pregan Naidoo GCT(SA), NAACAM KZN Regional Chair from MAHLE Fluid and Thermal Systems. This was followed by a presentation from Duane Newman of EY South Africa, who focused primarily on developments related to CBAM, as well as the latest updates on US tariffs and their potential implications for the automotive component manufacturing sector.
Members received a NAACAM industry update from Nduduzo Chala (Cert.Dir.)(MBA), NAACAM COO. The meeting concluded with closing remarks from Luthando “Lulu” Dladla, NAACAM KZN Regional Vice Chair from Hulamin Operations.
