#WeAreNAACAM: Today, NAACAM hosted the Western Cape Regional Meeting (Q1 2026) bringing together members from across the Western Cape automotive component manufacturing sector.
The purpose of the meeting was to provide members with an update on the current automotive landscape and NAACAM’s activities, as well as create a platform for meaningful engagement on sector-wide and Western Cape-specific matters requiring NAACAM’s support.
The meeting opened with remarks from Benjamin Banzhaf, NAACAM Western Cape regional chairperson. Members then received a NAACAM industry update from Lebalang Molobele, NAACAM Head of Skills and People Development
This was followed by a presentation by Richard Ryding from Global Business Solutions, who provided members with an overview of the draft BBBEE government gazetted amendments.
NAACAM is appreciative of all members who attended today’s engagement. Regional meetings remain a vital platform for collaboration, alignment and ensuring that the voice of our members continues to shape the future of South Africa’s automotive component industry.
